Folks get ready! A little angel is going to descend on earth soon as Julie Chen, the lovable and charming host of reality based TV show, “Big Brother” has been reported to be pregnant. In spite of her pregnancy, she is still going to host the next season of this reality show. This definitely seems like a double treat for all those hungry for this tasty pie in the form of an amazing reality television show titled, “Big Brother.” Our congratulations go out to this glamorous but down to earth lady and we wish she gives birth to a healthy and cute baby.

Julie Chen would be in fifth month of pregnancy, when the next season of “Big Brother”, premieres on the television screens in July. But her decision to stick with her role as a host of this reality show is definitely worth applauding. Though field of medicine has progressed by leaps and bounds and it allows one to proceed smoothly from the stage of pregnancy to giving birth to a child, she needs to be applauded as we know managing pregnancy and hosting a show can be very hectic.

Julie Chen has a great talent for hosting reality shows as all of us have seen every time she had made an appearance on “Big Brother.” To make a reality show interesting and to make its whole concept clear to the audiences, a host plays a very vital role. This is where she has been natural and fantastic. Julie Chen really gives a great flavor to this wonderful recipe of “Big Brother.” And to have her back as the host in the upcoming season of this reality show will be a treat as we expect her to come out with something unexpected that adds to the flavor of “Big Brother.”

Time actually flies by! It has been approximately, just two months less than one year, when Big Brother kicked off its season 10, on July 13, 2008. The season came to an end on September 16, 2008, lasting 71 days only, thus becoming the shortest season of American Big Brother. I remember my post, which I had written in October, depicting that only six months are left for Big Brother to come back with its next season and honestly admitting, these have been the longest six months as I have spent each day waiting for my favorite show to return!

Anyways, the time has come when we can enjoy season 11 of Big Brother. Nothing to think about, as once again CBS network would serve as the podium for the series. Among the executive producers are Allison Grodner, Rich Meehan and Scott Einziger. Julie Chen would return, to serve as the host. The lady has denied all the rumors that she would be taking a maternity leave. She has confirmed that she would stay with the show during her pregnancy.

When season 10 of Big Brother was running in its final week, the CBS Network started casting for the upcoming season. All the applicants, who made it up to the first round of selection, would move to Los Angeles to be a part of the next round of the show. On March 19, 2009, the host, Julie Chen, talked to Robyn Kass, the casting director, and some former houseguests regarding their experiences of the last season and also about the plans of the next season of Big Brother.

While the American Big Brother has green lighted its eleventh season, the UK Big Brother is approaching nearer to its end. The show presenter Davina McCall has confirmed that the next Big Brother would be the last one, admitting “It’s definitely only got two years left”. The contract of the show would come to an end in 2010 and only a tiny, equal to ‘No’, possibility of its renewal is there.

Wow!! Well, I think the title of my post is enough to make you to say ‘Hurrah… It’s rocking man!‘. After the season 10 finale, when Dan Gheesling won the title of ‘Big Brother‘ 10, speculations were being made by the viewers about season 11 and finally it’s official now. CBS network has announced that it will be aired in the summer of 2009 and you just need to wait for six months to have it on your TV screen.

This announcement has also shattered away the dreams of those who were waiting for a winter edition (just like happened in season 9 of series). Once again, it’d be a summer version of the show. Most probably, it’d be commenced in July … let’s see! One issue is here that I’d like to share with you. If it returns in winter, then, we can hope for two seasons in a year. ‘Big Brother’ has already done it in 2008 with the first season in winters and the second season in summers. So, I am also one of those who’re expecting it in winters…. Ahh! That might not be possible at all.

In last season, it averaged 7 million viewers and even continued with the same ratings during the Beijing Olympics also. Okay, don’t go into the past and let’s discuss something about the upcoming seasons. ‘Big Brother’ is only one show of its type and we watched new challenges and twists every season. Actually, I must say that the show’s being evolved and each season contributes a lot to its development. Now is the time to see, what’d be new in the season 11 and whom do you expect as the Houseguests this time? I do have some names, but would make public them, only after the official announcement about Houseguests by the CBS network.
